Between prepping, packing and travelling to Otherworld, the Kiddo’s wrapping up the school year, and generally taking on more than I can possibly handle in any given day, to say that I have been pretty swamped these past few weeks is a bit of an understatement. Despite all of this, I still somehow managed to carve out some time to wander about with my camera. Yesterday, somewhere between this and that, I managed to carve out 40 minutes for my favourite grounding activity, Photo Wandering! I didn’t have a lot of time, so I just jumped down to Upper Lonsdale because it was close to where I needed to be. I am sometimes amazed at what a walk in the sun with my camera can do for my mood and just how much I can sometimes capture in a short amount of time. I often lament that because I don’t have three hours to devote to a photo wander, I shouldn’t bother, but I forget that I somehow used to manage to stuff these walks into days that were packed with busy photo sessions. It might be because North Vancouver is really pretty shite when it comes to walkability, so I am not walking from place to place like I used to in East Van, but I feel like I need some dedicated time to just wander with the camera, but today is a lesson that maybe I don’t. Anyway, these are three of my favourite photos from yesterday!
